Did we learn our lessons in the past?

This is a humble prayer to the God, which come out of me through my deepest fear.

It has been tough for me to realize that I have been witnessing a similar pattern of circumstances in last so many years. I do not know if the circumstances were so tough for me to handle I choose to behave cowardly.  I could not handle the pressure and each time I decided to make an easy escape. I never realized that this easy escape is going cost me more in the future. Every easy escape led to similar kind of situations in future and each time the intensity was harder and tougher. I now realize that I might have already made these easy exits thrice in last seven or eight years and each time I have paid back more than the last time. I might have also thought in the past that leaving things in middle and starting new ventures was a way to cherish my freedom. But this freedom seems to be little more costly that I expected it to be. Now I can foresee the pattern repeating itself yet again in my life. I am too scared this time and I am also not yet prepared to discuss or reveal these patterns to anyone. But I see a ray of hope within me because I have already identified the pattern and realized life wants to me to finish what I started in the past. Life wants me to learn my lessons properly. Life is giving me yet another opportunity and this time the opportunity is bigger than any other opportunity life has given in past. I wish and pray to God that he would guide me though this opportunity the coming years and not allow my fear and pride to take over me and God please ensure that I do make an easy escape from this opportunity this time. Help me to learn my lesson and pass the exam of life with a distinction.

This brings me back to my quote “Wow! It seems LIFE is a great teacher and it does not leave any of his students so easily if they do not learn their lessons properly then LIFE repeats the lessons countless times.”

I am a great admirer of LIFE and I wish everyone best of luck in the exam of Life.

Failure

Failures can be of many kinds like congestive heart failure, liver failure or kidney failure. I consider these failures to be the most fatal ones and leave them for experts to discuss them. I will not be discussing reasons or causes of these fatal failures but I am going to discuss general failure in life. The failures which leave dirty long lasting bruises all over the physical, mental, psychological aspects in a human life and also not to forget these failures also leave bad bruises on the Resume of an individual. So why God did allowed failure to find place in our lives. I think there must be some valid reason for this because God never allow anything without any purpose. And wait do not draw a conclusion that is article is some kind of prophecy on God. The last few sentences were just my personal belief and you have complete right to disagree with me.

Failures can be in to form of losing all your work when your hard drive fails and data recovery is not possible or your seat belt fails to work properly and you run into some major unexpected accident. This is also possible that you face an unexpected loss which results into a financial crunch and you may fail to pay your credit card bill. These are some common failure that we all face in our lives when we least expect them and they are so unexpected in our lives that we get so disturbed that we lose our sense of right and wrong. Many a times when failure hits us very hard and if do not have a support system then we get lost and we indulge in self destruction practices like gambling or drugs. Many reasons can result into failure but one should try and avoid self misery and accept failure with grace and contemplate the reasons for the failure. May be this failure was destined in the path of life to teach an important lesson or remind us of some important facts of life, which in past were easily neglected in our busy lives.

Like any hardware engineer who does disk failure analysis, we all require to perform a life failure analysis to ensure the lesson is well learned, chewed and digested in our system and error is not repeated. If the lessons are not chewed and digested well then it may result into an email delivery failure, which means if the email is not delivered then the email will be sent again by the sender. In the same way life would send back the lesson through another failure giving another chance to learn, chew and digest.

One needs to note a fact of life. Life likes to behave like “Law of Gravity” if one throws a ball of success up in the air then the ball has to come back and hit the ground of failure. And after hitting the ground of failure the ball again has to bounce back into the air of success. This is like a cycle. One needs to understand this and he or she should not stop the natural flow of this cycle by letting one into too much of pain and grief. Too much of pain and grief only make the ball to stick for a longer period of time to the ground of failure. The best thing would be to handle every failure like a process and wait for the ball to bounce back again in the air of success. Of course bouncing back may happen in micro seconds in the case of a real ball but in real life bouncing back may take time like days, weeks, months or sometimes even years. So one should not lose his faith and patience but he should hope for this time to be over and do not rush into things. But he should focus on learning, chewing and digesting the lessons learnt from the failure. Because the lessons learned during these hard times can be used as a treasure for future by him and as well as by others.

So whether it is a heart failure or a disk failure, all these fatal failures can be cured and if these fatal can be cured then I think the regular life failure of any order can be cured with time and faith.

Which is Tough To seek forgiveness from others or forgive the self?

Aha, that is the only word I can think right now. I know it seems little out of place. But I am happy after so many years of experience of life I could at least ponder upon this question. This is one question which has bothered the whole humanity right from the beginning since people decided to live in a society or they abided some rule and regulations to live with each other. Each time someone when off the track and was found to do something against the rule book he or she was said to be guilty and the person had to seek forgiveness from so many people. Some would easily forgive and some would make his or her life miserable till death reminding of their guilt.

An important lesson what we the man kind need to learn here is that we do not live for the society. Society is just a setup made by us to fit in a certain lifestyle. Most of the times we also do get to choose the society we live in. This choice not ours because God never asks us where do want to get born my child? He just drops us at the right place to follow our Karma and to discover our path to Moksha. While we discover our path we are usually so confused in the process that we tend to make terrible mistakes and challenge the setup of the society. For which the society punishes the betrayer royally. One does not realize that these mistakes are part of learning. One may not find these learning very useful in day today life but these learning are very much essential to identify our unique path for self elevation.

I have somehow come up with my own policy for this trouble after so many years for feeling guilty for making mistakes and learning new things in process of making mistakes. I realized that whoever I am, I am someone who will continue to make mistakes because I am a human and I am no Godly figure. So will I be always held guilty and would be humiliated by the Society for my mistakes? Lately but I found my answer NO, I cannot be guilty all the time. Knowing for the fact that if I am not getting forgiveness from the society for a mistake I committed then what I can do is that I can move on. But there is something I need to do before I can move on. I need to sit and contemplate the mistake. I need to not judge but find what, how and whom I have harmed. I need to compensate for my mistake to the best. If I have compensated for my mistake to my best and if I can proudly declare about this compensation to my true self then I have full right to forgive myself. And I should not be bothered of what others might think about my mistakes. I would rather move on with life and follow my path and follow my destiny. The only sense of warning I can feel here is one really cannot lie to himself. If I have not compensated enough for my mistakes I cannot lie to myself and move on. Because life would bring me back to same situation and try to teach me the same lesson again.

Wow! It seems LIFE is a great teacher and it does not leave any of his students so easily if they do not learn their lessons properly then LIFE repeats the lessons countless times.

So forgive yourself for all the mistakes you have committed. Just make sure that you have truly compensated for your mistakes and do not lie to yourself or life will make a situation to repeat the same mistake again and again.
